I’m Federica Melania Orsini, a food photographer, food & prop stylist , restaurant photographer, and food videographer based in Bologna, Italy,and available worldwide. I believe that food is not just sustenance; it's an experience that resonates with our emotions and memories.
Growing up in a family that owned a restaurant in the Roman countryside, I spent countless Sunday mornings in the restaurant kitchen watching my nonna, mum, and uncle prepare meals. If I was lucky, I’d help my nonna make homemade pasta, learning her tips and hearing her beautiful stories. Witnessing the transformation of raw ingredients into stunning and flavorful dishes felt like pure magic. That experience taught me how to present food in the most captivating and harmonious way possible.
My love for cinema, art, and design led me to study Fashion Design, but I soon realized that my true passion lay in food photography, styling, and videography.
Thanks to my background in fashion, I developed a distinct visual style — one that brings emotion into every frame and elevates every project with intention and aesthetic clarity.
My inspiration comes from everything around me: from a film scene, a fresco in a church, a fashion collection, a fleeting emotion, to a simple human gesture.
I believe every meal has a narrative, and my mission is to capture those moments in a way that resonates with viewers and aligns with your story.I was shortlisted by the World Food Photography Awards in Year 2025 - my video recipe was featured on a global recipe online platform - The FeedFeed.
